Panzerjaun's PZIV

HERE ARE THE TROOPS ORGANIZED BY UNIT! (still under construction!)
Units in my Allied and Axis forces are made up of
7 man squads. 2 such squads plus an officer/NCO will
make up a platoon. 3 platoons plus a HQ section is
a company. Vehicle units are usually 2-3 vehicles
per section/platoon or 2 guns per battery.
THIS PAGE WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE ALL MY US FORCES
FROM THE 4TH US ARMORED DIV, 2ND US INFANTRY DIV,
AND THE 101ST AIRBORNE.

Upgraded and rebuilt M-8 scoutcar from Hasbro. Now part of my 4th US Armored 25th Cavalry.

Rebuilt Hasbro M-3 halftrack. Got this in trade from Steve at Panzerwerks. Cut the sides in the back off and cut out the doors. New sides are 5/8 of an inch higher. Used original back and side doors but changed to brass hinges (10mm). Added 50cal pulpit with Hasbro 50 from Pearl Harbor AA gun (smaller 50 than the others. Added mine racks on side and working cargo folding racks on back. New cloth seats and backrests with foam inserts. Still small but much nicer lookin now for my 4th Armored's 10th Armored Infantry!

Battleground Vehicles M10A1 kit. This is the completed preproduction kit. It is stock except for the Viper Sherman roadwheels as i have not recieved our new roadwheels/trucks from the factory yet. I have made only two modifications so far. I added the lips around the bow hatches and cut out the center of the armored roof and added hinged pieces from styrene. Darn massive looking! I really like how it came out!

Scout section jeep of 25th Cavalry, 4th US Armored. In the passenger seat is my 4th Amd Brigadier General!

Sideview of the rebuilt M-3. You can see the mine racks, MG pulpit (there is also a pintel mount for a 30cal on the left side), and extended rear cargo racks. Hard to notice but the new sides with the foam seats allow the figures to sit inside it more realistically. Of course it only holds 8 figs but thats fine by me as my squads are only 7 men each.

My 21c Steve McQueen at the controls. "Kilroy" is an M10A1 Tank Destroyer attached to my US 2nd Infantry Division. Included with the kit are resin hatch hinges that can be drilled out and the hatches will open pretty much just like the real ones. I plan on getting 2 Panzerwerk periscope units to put inside the hatches later on when i superdetail this piece.

Sideview of rebuilt Hasbro M-8. Longer, wider, taller, and with a scrachbuilt turret.

The rear cargo racks can be clearly seen and do fold up against the rear of the halftrack. The original rear door was used. The detail cannot be seen in this pic (polaroid again) but i made tiedowns from brass rings and they are fitted in along the sides of the upper hull and all bolts were duplicated with pinheads about the size of the boltheads on the remaining Hasbro hull. I have a second M-3 that i will either do as this (with the winch front) or make it a quad-50 AAA halftrack.

poor pic but you can see the great decals from Van Stewart on the 30cal ammo can. This conversion will hold a crew of 5 figures. I plan on adding some more details including back rests and some more gear later as well as some weathering. I thank Stush for the skate rail from a WSC that, trimed down, works great as does Bean's great US resin radio.

Newest edition to my 35th Armored Battalion of the US 4th Armored Div is "Boise" of B company. It is one of the really nice James Desimone vehilces. Decals by Johns-Stuff!

Meet ALABAMA! This is a superb PANZERWERK M4A3 with the T23 turret/76mm gun! It is a somewhat hybrid as i used a set of VIPER running gear and tracks on it. Came out great and is the main tank of my A company, 35 tank battalion of my 4th US Armored Division!!

Pic of the M10 with all hatches closed. Decals by Johns-Stuff (of course!) and paint from Rapco parts co (940-872-2403) and is their 33070 lusterless early US OD green. For more info on these kits see my other site at http://www.plasticpanzers.8k.com

My upgraded Desimone M4A3 Sherman "Boise" leading my converted M3 Hasbro halftrack that is now a M4 81mm mortar carrier.

My M4A3 Sherman tank "ALABAMA"s business end! Great vehicle!
