MY GERMAN FORCES AND THEIR EQUIPMENT!
MY GERMAN FORCES WILL CONSIST OF ELEMENTS OF THE
116TH PANZER DIVISION, 352ND INFANTRY DIVISION, AND
SOME PARA/LUFTWAFFE GROUND UNITS.
I EXPECT TO ADD WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR A NUMBER OF
OTHER VEHICLES AND HEAVY WEAPONS TO MY GERMAN
FORCES.
SITE UPDATE 7/12/03!

Command VW of a Kampfgruppe of the 116th Panzer Division
Early part of painting and detailing this and the nice
trailer i got thru Greg (Eklyps) from Tony at Creative
Diversions. Will eventually have 1-2 VWs in command
group and later will make a Horch command car. All of
my vehicles represent ETO '44 German units. My German
motorized/armor will all be from the 116th Panzer Div
(the Greyhounds)
OSB 20MM FLAK 38
THIS IS A VERY POOR PIC OF MY OSB FLAK 38 I FINISHED.
I PICKED THIS AND AN OSB BLITZ KIT FROM RANDYJOE THIS
YEAR AND LAST. THE BLITZ IS ALMOST DONE BUT MY KIDS
ARE REDOING MY FLOOR WHERE I WORK IN THE HOUSE SO I
WILL BE POSTING PICS OF THEM TOGETHER SOON WHEN I CAN
GET TO THE TRUCK.
I REPLACED THE RESIN SHIELDS AND SOME OTHER PARTS WITH
MUCH THINNER AND LIGHTER STYRENE PARTS. NICE PIECE BUT
NOT REALLY REALISTIC. GOOD FOR ITS TIME. REALLY TOO
BAD ABOUT JASON (OSB) AND HIM BUGGING OUT. HE HAD
TALENT.
TO LEFT: Opel Blitz truck by Desimone
This is the first of 2 Desimone/Kano Opel Blitz trucks
I am going to build (I have a third resin OSB Blitz
done now waiting painting). It is a nice, durable
truck for the price and does not look half bad at all
when done! I like it alot! Part of my 116th Panzer
Division.
TO THE RIGHT: Tetra T57 staff car
Built from styrene and scrap parts. Cloth top folded
down (does not really work, just for show) and cloth
seats. Has somewhat detailed dash that cannot be seen
in these pics. Wheels are from that famous Russian
company "MARX"!! LOL!
"POWERTEAM" CANNON REBUILD
I TOOK ONE OF THE POWERTEAM HOWTIZERS AVAILABLE LAST
YEAR FROM BIG LOTS AND REMOVED THE BLOCK TRAIL AND
WHEELS. USED SOME WOOD WHEELS I PICKED UP ON EBAY
(ADDED STRIPS OF STYENE TO REPRESENT METAL RIM) AND
BUILT NEW BOX TRAIL OUT OF SCRAP PARTS I HAD LEFT.
CUT OFF THE OLD BARREL AND ADDED NEW ONE OF BRASS
TUBING. ADDED SOME MORE SCRAP PLASIC AND DODADS.
DOES NOT REPRESENT ANY REAL GUN IN EXISTANCE BUT COULD
BE USED FOR ITALIAN/ROMANIAN/POLISH/JAPANESE/GERMAN
"AQUIRED"/ETC. CAME WITH A NICE SHELL CRATE AND 3
ROUNDS THAT I AM REPAINTING. WILL BE PART OF A SECTION
OF INFANTRY SUPPORT WEAPONS FOR MY GERMAN 352ND INF DIV.
TO RIGHT: VIEW OF MY NEW EKLYPS HETZER!!
FINALLY SOMETHING WITH A GUN ON IT FOR MY GERMANS! THEY
NOW HAVE AT LEAST THIS TO MATCH MY US M-8, M-5, 2 M-4s,
AND M-10 OF MY U.S. 4TH ARMORED! MARDON DID A GREAT
JOB IN BUILDING IT AND GREG AT EKLYPS DID ANOTHER GREAT
JOB PAINTING AND SPRUCING IT UP! THOSE WHO WERE AT THE
WOH SHOW MIGHT REMEMBER IT AS THE "SMOKING" HETZER THAT
WAS KNOCKED OUT IN THE "BERLIN" DIORAMA!
Opel Blitz 3-ton truck
Here is a rear view of the Desimone Opel Blitz. Came
out quite nice! Believe it or not the cloth top comes
molded on! Looks quite nice when painted! Has texture
molded in to look like cloth. Used Africa Mustard for
the cloth top and the usual Dark Yellow/Red Brown/Dark
Green 3-color camo for the rest with Modern desert tan
for the interior.
Gave it a wash in inexpensive waterbased burned
umber and black and coated in Dullcoat. Decals
by Johns-Stuff.
