MY COMMONWEALTH UNITS
THIS PAGE WILL CONTAIN ALL MY COMMONWEALTH FIGURES, VEHICLES, AND WEAPONS. I PLAN ON HAVING FORCES FROM THE IRISH GUARDS, WELSH GUARDS, AND BRITISH AIRBORNE. |

Bedford QL Troop/Cargo truck
This is the first of 3 conversions of the Strike Force truck that was available from JC Penny last year. I added a new cargobox, fenders, and details. The tailgate lowers and when raised can be locked in place. There is a tow hook for hauling trailers or artillery.

Bedford troop truck
Here is a pic of the other side. I used Johns Stuff decals. I have yet to add the cloth cover for the cab top and rear as well as tools and gas tin rack. I will be doing two more, one as another troop truck and the last as either a radio truck or ambulance.

Here is a rear shot showing the tailgate. I have yet to make some troop benches but until then they can sit on the cargo or on the floor! LOL! |
Hasbro 37mm ATG to British 6pdr ATG
Had a damaged Hasbro 37mm antitank gun so i decided to upgrade it to a 6pdr/57mm atg. Cut the barrel about halfway out and added a 1 1/2in section of pvc pipe to make the barrel longer. then scrachbuilt an new armor shield and breach from scrap styene and balsa. Not very realistic but it provides some much needed AT
support to my US and British forces!

Side view of new 6pdr/57mm atg
The rear half of the gun is more made up than from a real 6pdr as i am basically lazy and wanted to use up alot of the Hasbro 37mm gun parts! LOL! The wheela are old MARX cannon wheels i picked up on ebay. I left the gun unmarked so i can use it for either my British
or American troops.

MORRIS C-8 4X4 OPEN TOPPED TRACTOR
TO THE RIGHT IS A CONVERSION OF A OLD, BROKEN 21C M998 TROOP CARRIER INTO A COMMONWEALTH MORRIS LIGHT TRACTOR. I BUILT A NEW NOSE AND FENDERS FROM STYRENE AND ADDED BASEWOOD SIDES TO THE REAR. REBUILT TAILGATE AND NEW
CLOTH TOP OVER WIRE FRAME. PAINTED FOR THE IRISH GUARD
INFANTRY REGIMENT OF THE BRITISH GUARDS ARMORED DIV.
NOT WILDLY ACCURATE BUT GIVES LIFE TO A BROKEN VEHICLE
THAT WOULD HAVE ENDED UP IN THE TRASH.

MORRIS TRACTOR
DUE TO THE IRREGULAR HOOD I USED A STENCIL TO PAINT THE STAR AND RING ON THE NOSE AND CANOPY OTHERWISE ALL THE DECALS ARE FROM JOHNS-STUFF.COM. THE WHEELS ARE OLD MARX ARTILLERY WHEELS WITH 1/4 AXLES. I WILL BE DOING
SOME MORE WORK ON THIS LATER ON WITH NEW CLOTH SEATS
AND DASH DETAIL AND REWORK THE TOP A BIT AND ADD SOME
MORE OF THE 'MICKEY MOUSE' CAMO TO IT. WILL BE USED
TO HAUL MY 6PDR TILL I CAN AFFORD A BREN CARRIER THEN
WILL BE USED TO HAUL A VICKERS HEAVY MACHINE GUN TEAM.
